You're dog is very attractive, ,but I'm pretty sure he is a mix of something else besides Newf. His head is kind of smallish and his nose is too long. Again, he is still a very nice looking dog.
Hey everyone I am new to the forums well most people are and will be. BTW when was this website started. Anyways my kind of silly but something I need to keep in mind question is if newfs are lick you to death sogs. I do not really mind since like it has been said a newf is a lover but unfortunatley not everyone is so accepting of this. Describe what you think. Are they big and wet. Ha Ha. Well thanks a lot for all your help.
A few months ago I rescued a 1 year old male dog that was thought to be a newfoundland mix. He is a pretty big boy, but not huge, especially by newfie standards (80 lbs). I think he may have golden retriever and/ or chocolate lab in him. He has pretty thick hair that is very water repellent, very large head and sleepy eyes. He is a deep rusty brown with white chest patch and liver nose and brown eyes. Any thoughts from newfoundland experts? Thank you. You can view him at:
hi my name julie this is ma first newfie forum i have 2 newfies koda who is 2 who is black with a white chest and i have just got a 5 month landseer who i have not named yet
All the Newfie shades are beautiful both landseers and the deep Chocolate brown but, My favorite Newfie color is the solid black, but it makes it easier for my Newfie Duncan to hide in the dark. Hehehe that why I added a bell. Helps with the tripping hazard ,an the game of hiding go seek easier and when he tries to sneak off to explore on his own I have a warning bell.
